Communications Training Officer (CTO)
This national certification course allows the CTO Instructor to certify experienced in-house shift trainers as a CTO when coordinated through NECI.
Upon completion of the course, the CTO can train others with the agency-adopted on-the-job training program and with all NECI in-service courses.
Student Performance Objectives
By the end of the CTO certification course, the CTO candidate will demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in the following subjects:
- Communications training strategies
- Components of a structured 9-1-1 OJT program
- Documentation required for a structured OJT program
